Trailer Safety Under The Microscope in Idaho

Recent accidents caused by trailers coming unhitched are putting Idaho's rules for pulling trailers under scrutiny. The state lawmaker who chairs the Senate Transportation Committee says he wants to learn more about trailer safety before deciding if new laws are needed. Authorities say safety chains for backup for keeping a trailer attached to the vehicle towin it could prevent some accidents.
